Traditional SCMMF Christmas Party

On December 21st, the Misericórdia family gathered to watch the traditional Christmas Party celebrated at the institution.
This festival was attended by all users, employees, governing bodies and the presidents of parish councils.
The Party began with the celebration of a mass, in which the main protagonists were the elderly with their songs. This was followed by various moments of animation promoted by the Institution's employees, further enriching the Christmas atmosphere that is lived here.
The participation of the Santa Casa da Misericórdia Group in Mesão Frio was also highlighted, which filled the hearts of all those present with themes related to the Christmas season.
To comfort our seniors, the collaborators, the President of the General Assembly and the Ombudsman, transmitted the usual Christmas messages, full of hope, encouraging values such as friendship, solidarity and fraternity.
SCMMF Children's Christmas Party

Last December 19th, the SCMMF Children's Christmas Party was held. This event had the participation of children, senior users, employees of the Institution and family members. The party took place in a great Christmas spirit, as well as lots of excitement and joy.
National Pajama Day 2016

The National Pajama Day is an educational and solidarity day made by children who help other children.
On this day, children up to 10 years old (nursery, kindergarten and primary school), in participating institutions and schools, from all over the country (mainland and islands), come dressed in pajamas to school and pass, thus, the day in educational and fun activities until they return home.
The National Pajama Day is an initiative with the purpose of sensitizing the country to the "right of a child to grow up in a family", promoting family care for children and reducing the number of institutionalized children.
In the wake of previous years, Santa Casa da Misericórdia in Mesão Frio has once again joined this cause, and thanks all the employees, parents and guardians who participated in this initiative.

Public Presentation of the SCMMF Choir Group

The Santa Casa da Misericórdia of Mesão Frio had the honor of being invited by the Municipal Library of Mesão Frio to make the Institution's first public performance on World Music Day, October 1st.
The event included a meeting of choirs, in which, in addition to the Misericórdia choir, the group Amtrol-Vocalfa, from Guimarães and the choir group from Vila Real CCVR, performed. The event began with the participation of singer Paula Ferreira and choreographies by the Bibliodance group.
This initiative aimed to encourage the sharing of experiences, promotion and tribute to musical art in its various aspects.

The parade was attended by employees, governing bodies, users and their families and Parish Councils of the municipality. This parade ended with a ball, at the institution's facilities, with animation by the singer “Georges Canário”.

Social tour of SCMMF employees

The tour was destined for the Minho region, and was also attended by some members of the Administrative Board.
National Pilgrimage within the scope of the Extraordinary Jubilee of Mercy

The Misericórdia of Mesão Frio participated, on June 25, in Fátima, in the national pilgrimage within the scope of the extraordinary Jubilee of Mercy. All the Misericórdias in the country took part in the pilgrimage and the Santa Casa was represented by members of its Governing Bodies.

Job fair

On May 20, Santa Casa da Misericórdia of Mesão Frio, within the scope of the Professional Insertion Office (GIP), in partnership with the Project “Porta D`Ouro CLDS 3G” (Local Contracts for Social Development - Third Generation) , Mesão Frio City Council, Prof. António da Natividade - Mesão Frio and other entities that make up the Social Network of the municipality of Mesão Frio, promoted the Mesão Frio Employment, Entrepreneurship, Qualification, Training and Guidance Fair.
The aforementioned fair had as main objectives to promote direct contact between companies, the active population and students, allowing companies to present their programs, procedures, ways of recruiting and the opportunities they have to offer; enhance internship and employment opportunities; promote vocational education and higher education; promote professional training and craft knowledge.
We would like to thank all the Companies, Institutions and Participants, as it was only with your presence and contributions that it was possible to carry out this event.

FA SI LA "Danser En Ligne"

“FASILA DANSER EN LIGNE” offers an afternoon of dancing to users of the Misericórdia of Mesão Frio.
On May 5th, users of the Santa Casa da Misericórdia in Mesão Frio had the opportunity to attend a magnificent dance show organized by the Association “FASILA DANSER EN LIGNE”. This group was created in 2014 in Toulouse, by the granddaughter of a former Misericórdia user, Alice da Conceição Pereira, who lived at the Father Manuel António Leite Pires home until she was 94 years old, and died in December 2010. This user was characterized because of his contagious joy, he actively participated in all the activities organized by the institution. In her honor, her granddaughter created this Association that works in Residential Structures for the Elderly in France and Portugal.

Easter Mass of the Santa Casa da Misericórdia of Mesão Frio - 2016
On March 21, 2016, at 5:30 pm, the Easter Mass was held in the Multipurpose Hall of the Santa Casa da Misericórdia in Mesão Frio. The governing bodies, employees and senior users of the SCMMF were present.
ICBAS Country Mission - Mesão Frio 2016
For the second consecutive year, Missão País enriched and brightened the day of the users of the Misericórdia of Mesão Frio.
This Catholic project organizes and develops University Missions in several colleges in the country. Mesão Frio was visited by 55 young students from the Institute of Biomedical Sciences Abel Salazar (ICBAS), which with its mission of witnessing to the faith in Jesus, infected the hearts of users, collaborators and management of the Misericórdia. These young Missionaries inspire everyone with their joy at the sound of the hymn “Rejoice You Were Found”.

ICBAS Country Mission - Mesão Frio 2016
For the second consecutive year, Missão País will be visiting users of the Santa Casa da Misericórdia in Mesão Frio, from the 22nd to the 27th of February. These missionaries, ICBAS students, will be participating in the daily lives of our Home and Home Support Service users this week.
Santa Casa welcomes this cause with open arms and supports this noble initiative.

SCMMF Intergenerational Carnival Ball
On February 8, 2016, at 3 pm, the traditional carnival ball was held with the participation of employees, governing bodies, senior users, children and family members of the users of Santa Casa da Misericórdia in Mesão Frio. The party also had the animation of a singer of Portuguese popular music.
